But I like the new Impala. Since 2000, the Impala has been either "Grandma's Grocery Getter," or "fleet car special."
The supercharged and V8 SS models were a high point, but few were sold and they didn't make much impact as they were competing with the LX sedans.
Yesterday I drove a 2014 LT. It had half/half vinyl/cloth interior and it was surprisingly nice inside. Gauges were big and clear and the seats were supportive but not stiff.

I've driven a 2012 Impala LT a lot. It's front wheel drive and has 300 hp. Shocking.

I had a 2001 LS. That 3800 would let the car sail and net 33 empeegees on the highway. I've never had a better cruising car.

Once a car is thought of as being a granny car, beige or a fleet vehicle (no matter how good it really is!) is carries that stigma forever in the minds of many. Like what you like and don't let the haters get you down.

Man that thign is really a hodge-podge of design elements. Tail lights look to be stolen from the 2006-2008 BMW E90, window trim is approximating the Hofmeister kink, upper front end is pointy and Camaro-inspired. Headlights almost look like the old Acura TL headlights. It doesn't look bad together as a whole package. One thing's for sure: looks better than the old Impala!

2004 impala SS is still a favorite of mine. They're millenium falcons. Yes they're just buckets of bolts but they can do an impressive kessel run when you put your foot down. I would love to drive a new V6 impala and see how they go.

Everyone gave 'em shit because "FWD" and "Boring" and "oh, it is faster than the 1996?STILL FWD AND BORING"
Still a reliable, comfortable, quality car (if you can find a non-rental)

Those paper mats suck in the winter if you were not aware.....
I remember having to pick the little fibers off of the floor of an Angry Aston Owner's floor.

The new Impala is a drop-dead sexy car. I'm still not sure if I like the idea of a full-size front driver, but if anything could turn my mind around on it, it would be the Impala. Or Cadenza, either way.
